LEGO MindstormsLEGO Mindstorms comes with a programmable Hitachi 8300 microprocessor inside a so-called RCX brick. This brick has three motor outputs and three sensor inputs. If you want to program in C or C++, you need to install legOS or brickOS (the newer versions are called brickOS because of legal reasons; LEGO does not support legOS nor brickOS). Leg/BrickOS uses a PC to transform C-programs into Hitachi code and to upload this code onto the RCX brick (via a serial or USB connection). Here you can read, how I set up legOS using Linux. 25 Mar 2005 |
